Link Messages

When you create a link the causes the visitor to leave your site, sometimes it's desirable to present the user with a message or a disclaimer so they understand they are no longer on your site. This is where you define these messages.

External Link With Message Example.

  • When creating an external link, you can check the "Link message name" check box. When you do, a list of link messages that you have created with the link messages dialog will appear. You can select one of your messages and when the user clicks on the link, they will see the message and Accept or Decline buttons.

  • This also applies to Email links and external links assigned to a button in the Page Manager.

  • To delete a message, click the message you want to delete and press the times  icon. You will be prompted, "Are You Sure" before the message is deleted.

  • To edit the content of a message, click the message you want to edit. The message, Accept text and decline text will appear to the right of the message names list. You can use the standard WYSIWYG editing tools to format your message. You can't format the Accept and Decline text.

  • Press OK to save your changes. Pressing cancel will cause you to lose any changes.
