Page Properties
Link Type

The link type specifies where the visitor will go when the select the page from a menu. The options available in the page properties dialog box will change depending on what is selected.
  • "Page" is a regular  page. This is a page you can directly edit using the editor.
  • "File" is a file you can upload. This file will be downloaded or viewed when the visitor clicks on the associated button. This can be used to provide PDF (Portable Document Format) documents to the visitor. 
  • "External Link" is a link to a web page outside of the current site. This can be used to take the user to a partner site when it's clicked.
  • "Link to Page" is a link to a page and optional anchor within the current site. This can be used so more that one button within a site can link to the same page.

Link type is "Page"

Settings Tab
  •  "Link Type" will be "Page."
  • "Open in new window" - will cause the page to open in a new window when checked.
  • "Don't Publish" - will prevent the page from being published to the live site. This is useful when you are creating a new page but it's not yet complete.
  • "Button Label" - is the text that will appear in the button of the menu. Be sure the text looks good in your site and doesn't cause aesthetic problems with your menus. You may need to limit the length of this text.
  • "Title" - is the text that will appear in the title bar of a web browser when visiting this page. This is also displayed in search engine results. Search engines use this to index your site. We recommend 64 characters in length.
  • "Current title length" will display the current length of the title entered into the "Title" field above. You can used this to help get your title close to 64 characters in length
  • "Page Type" - allows you to select one of the layout that are available in the currently selected template. This is useful if some pages require an additional menu etc.
  • "Password Realm" - lets you select a group of usernames and passwords that control access to the page. These realms are created and configured using the Authentication Manager. The default is public which means everyone can see this page without logging in.
  • "AMP (Accelerated Mobile Page) - will cause an AMP page to be created when the site is published. For more about AMP visit http://www.ampages.net .
  • "AMP over SSL" - will force the link to all AMP pages to use https protocol. To use this you site must have a valid ssl certificate installed.

Indexing Rules Tab
These setting control how a search engine indexes your site.
  •  "Disallow search engine indexing" - when checked it will tell search engines not to index this page. This is honored but major search engines like Google but it is a request and a search engine might ignore it.
  • "Disallow local search indexing" - when checked and the site includes the search application, this page will be excluded from the search results of the search application.
  • "Change Frequency" - tells search engines how frequently this page is expected to change. Be honest; if you specify daily and the page doesn't actually change every day, the search engine may penalize your site.
  • "Priority" - is a number between 0 and one that says how important this page is relative to other pages in your site. For instance, make your landing pages 1 and the information pages you expect your most viable prospects to dig into .1
  • "Language" - This is the language of the page.
  • Change frequency, Priority and Language have a copy  button  after them. Clicking on this will allow you to copy this property to all pages of your site. A confirmation dialog box will appear before the action is taken.

Description & Keywords
These settings contains hidden meta tags that search engines may use to index your site. It's important that the content of these tags reflect the content of the page. If it doesn't it may cause the search engines to penalize your site. For instance, listing your competitors brand names without including them in your content with the hope to attract visitors that are searching for your competitors product is bad.
  • "Search Engine Keywords" - are keywords that someone might use to search for your site. Each keyword is separated with a comma. You many have multiple words separated by a space in each keyword. Recommend approximately 30 keywords.  The number of keywords you currently have entered is displayed below in the "Current keyword count" field.
  • "Search Engine Description" - is a 300 word description of this page. The current number of words are displayed in the "Current description length" field.
  • Search Engine Keywords and Search Engine Description have a copy  button  after them. Clicking on this will allow you to copy this property to all pages of your site. A confirmation dialog box will appear before the action is taken.

Organization
These setting contain details about your organization and the web page including author and copyright.

  • "Organization (owner)" is the name of your business and owner of the web site.
  • "City" - is the city your business resides in.
  • "Zipcode" - is the postal code for your business.
  • "Organization Email" - is the main contact email address for your business. This should be an email that is viewed be a management entity.
  • "Author" -  is the writer or author of this pages content.
  • "Designer" - is the person who designed the layout and graphics for the page.
  • "Copyright" - is the copyright notice for the page.
  •  Organization (owner), City, Zipcode, Organization Email, Author, Designer and Copyright have a copy  button  after them. Clicking on this will allow you to copy this property to all pages of your site. A confirmation dialog box will appear before the action is taken.

Geo Tag
These setting place geographic location about your business into the page. This is helpful if you have a business visitors might search for on their phone while traveling. If you business is close by, it may rank higher in the search engine results.
  • "Latitude" - is the GPS latitude of your business. This field is normally filled automatically when using the Google Maps feature below.
  • "Longitude" - is the GPS longitude of your business. This field is normally filled automatically when using the Google Maps feature below.
  • "Region" - is the region of your business. This is formulated by combining your two letter country code with your two letter state code, separated with a dash.
  • "Place Name" - is typically the name of your business.
  • "Google Maps" - is where you can type the address of your business or the name of your business if it's already indexed by Google. Pressing search will set the location on the map to your business and set the Latitude and Longitude to that location.
  • Clicking on the map or dragging the map around will allow you to set the location of your business. The Latitude and Longitude will change as you click.
  •  Latitude, Longitude, Region, and Place Name have a copy  button  after them. Clicking on this will allow you to copy this property to all pages of your site. A confirmation dialog box will appear before the action is taken.

Facebook
These setting allow you to embed information in your page that Facebook Open Graph ( http://ogp.me/ ) can use to index your site when it's shared. Please refer to the URL above for detailed information. Most of this information should be that same as similar tabs of the "Page Properties" dialog box.
  • "Title" - is the title for your page.
  • "Facebook Description" - is a description Facebook will use for your page.
  • "Type" - is a drop down of allowed types for your page. Select the one closest to your business.
  • "Image" - is an image used by Facebook when sharing your page. You can use jpg, png or gif files. The image should be 1200 x 1200 pixels or larger. Facebook recommends 1200 x 630 pixels. The editor will not resize this image so it should be prepared before uploading. Click on the upload icon to select an image from your local file system.
  • "Site Name" is a name for your your web site. In most cases this can be your business name.
  •  Title, Facebook Description, Type, Image and Site Name  have a copy  button  after them. Clicking on this will allow you to copy this property to all pages of your site. A confirmation dialog box will appear before the action is taken.

QR Code
This tab allows you to download a QR (Quick Response) code that will link directly to this page of your site. You can place this code in printed assets and visitors can access the page by scanning it with their smart phones.
  • "QR Image" - is the qr image for the page.
  • "Download QR Image" - when you click on this icon it will allow you to save the QR code image file to your local hard drive.

JSON-LD
This tab allows you to provide JSON for Linking Data ( https://json-ld.org ) for your web web page. Please see web site for details. This is required if you use the AMP page option on the Setting tab.

Link type is "File"

Link type is "External"
This will cause the visitor to go to an external web site when the button is clicked.


  • "Link Type" - will be External Link.
  • "Open in new window" - when checked will cause the page to be opened in a new window.
  • "Button Label" - is the text that will appear in the button of the menu. Be sure the text looks good in your site and doesn't cause aesthetic problems with your menus. You may need to limit the length of this text.
  • "External Link" - is the fully qualified URL of the external web page.
  • "Display link message" - when checked will provide an option to select a message to display to the visitor before they leave your site and go to another site. Link messages can be configured using the SITE | Link Messages... menu option.

Link type is "Link to Page"
This will cause the visitor to go to a page within your site. This is useful when you want more than one button point to the same page.

  • "Link Type" - will be Link to Page.
  • "Open in new window" - when checked will cause the page to be opened in a new window.
  • "Button Label" - is the text that will appear in the button of the menu. Be sure the text looks good in your site and doesn't cause aesthetic problems with your menus. You may need to limit the length of this text.
  • "Page" - is a view of all the pages in your site. Clicking on a page will highlight it and make it the target for this page. You may select the anchor symbol under a page to make the link to an anchor within a page.
