Site Validation will examine your web site and any applications placed in your site for things that may cause your site to malfunction or negatively effect your search engine rankings.
Select SITE | Site Validation to open the Site Validation dialog box.
This operation may take a few minutes to populate and come out of the busy state.
You will see a list of issues with your site. Each one will have an icon indicating it severity.
This is actually a good thing. Some applications actually provide this type of message to indicate proper configuration of an application.
This is information only. There is probably nothing you can do about these messages but they are provided to keep you informed.
This is a warning. You should strive to fix problems related to these messages. If warning messages exist it may effect your search engine rankings or the ability of people with disabilities to use your site.
This is an error. If this problem isn't fixed, some aspect of your site will fail. This must be fixed.
You may narrow down which groups of messages are displayed by clicking the the icons in the toolbar. The icons will toggle so that if it has a red border the category of message will be displayed.
Will cause correct validation messages to be displayed.
Will cause information messsages to be displayed.
