Hyperlinks are pieces of text a visitor can click on to go to a different web page. The editor support three basic types of hyperlinks.
An external link will take a visitor to a website outside of the current web site.
Link to Page will take a user to a different page of the current site and optionally to a bookmark (anchor) withing that page.
And email link will open the default mail program and allow the visitor to send a message to the specified email address.
Also listed in this section are Anchors. These are like bookmarks within the current page that can be used by Link to Page to scroll a page to a specific location.
External Link
An external link will take a visitor to a web outside of the one you are editing.
Highlight the text you want to become the link.

icon.
The external link dialog box opens.
URL - is the Universal Resource Locator of the external web site. This must be fully qualified, for instance "http://www.ieditweb.com".
Open in new windows - when checked, the external web site will open in a new window or tab (depending on browser) and the current web page will remain open.

Link message name - allow you to pick a message the user will see before they go to the external site. This message may be a disclaimer, for instance, that tells the visitor you business is not responsible for the content of the site they are being directed to. You create these messages using the
Link Messages

Form Application
which will allow you to control what information the user must provide and prevent the exposure of an email address to unscrupulous people.
Anchors
Anchors act as a bookmark within a page. When creating a Link to Page you can choose an anchor within the target page. When they click the link, the page will be scrolled so the anchor is at the top of the page.
Place the cursor at the location in the page where you want the anchor.

After completing the information, Press OK .
The anchor will appear as a small anchor icon in the page (figure 2). It will only be visible in the editor. Once the site is published, this anchor will be invisible.
